Goodwill North Central Texas Announces Promotion, New Hire

FORT WORTH, TEXAS (March 13, 2017) – Goodwill North Central Texas, Inc. recently announced the promotion of Shay Dial Johnson to vice president of community engagement, and the new hire of Liz Confiliano as director of public relations.

As vice president of community engagement, Johnson will be responsible for leading marketing, public affairs, media and community engagement and special fundraising activities for the nonprofit. She has been an integral part of the Goodwill team since 2006 serving as regional retail director, and most recently as director of marketing and administration. Johnson graduated from Texas Wesleyan University in 2005 with a bachelor of fine arts (BFA) where she focused on theatre management and organization. She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sigma Alpha Iota, Fort Worth Assembly and is a 2014 Leadership Fort Worth LeadingEdge graduate.

“Shay is a proven leader for Goodwill,” said David Cox, president and CEO of Goodwill North Central Texas. “Her ability to build both internal and external partnerships and marketing expertise make her the perfect candidate to oversee the promotion of Goodwill’s mission.”

As director of public relations, Confiliano will manage the media engagement efforts for the nonprofit. Over her career Confiliano has worked in various public relations, advertising and marketing capacities for local advertising agencies, including J.O., where she managed the Goodwill North Central Texas account. She most recently served as community outreach coordinator for Moncrief Cancer Institute. Confiliano received a Master of Business Administration with marketing concentration from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) in 2012 and Bachelor of Arts degrees in both public relations and broadcast management in 2004. Active in the community, she serves as immediate past president of the Greater Fort Worth Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
