WHAT:

As North America’s leading nonprofit provider of job training, employment placement services and other community-based programs, Goodwill® is helping people overcome challenges that prevent them from finding and keeping good jobs. As part of this ongoing effort, Goodwill North Central Texas will host a free job and resource fair, open to the public. The job and resource fair will also serve clients from GoodwillWorks, an employment initiative targeting individuals experiencing homelessness or impending homelessness.

Free shuttles provided by Goodwill will transport job seekers from True Worth Place (1513 E. Presidio, Fort Worth, TX 76102 – depart 9:30 a.m.) the Las Vegas Trail area from Serrano Ranch Apartments (8222 Calmont Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76116- depart 8:15 a.m.) and west Fort Worth (Goodwill Camp Bowie Store – 6908 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76116- depart 7:30 a.m.) to the fair.

Goodwill North Central Texas provides free resume and cover letter writing, job search, interview skills and attire, connections to employers and funding for emergency services that prevent employment such as transportation year-round through five area job resource centers.

Employers participating in the fair will be hiring on-the-spot, providing a hand up, not a hand-out to individuals in need.
