WHO: High school students seeking prom dresses and formal wear.
WHAT: Goodwill North Central Texas will host a Good Pop: The Pop Up Shop event on Friday, March 23 from 4-8 p.m. at their Altamesa Blvd. location. Formal wear including prom dresses will be sold for $5, $10, $15 or $20 each with the goal of making prom affordable for all students regardless of their financial situation. All merchandise was donated at Goodwill locations in the greater Fort Worth area and hand-selected for the event.
The sale will feature free refreshments for shoppers, giveaways including free hair and makeup styling for prom and a personal shopping consultant to help students pick a look.
As with all purchases at Goodwill North Central Texas, revenue from the sale of donated goods goes to fund Goodwill’s mission of providing jobs and job training for individuals with disabilities or disadvantages such as lack of education or work experience, at-risk youth, veterans and the homeless.
