Goodwill North Central Texas to Open 27th Area Retail Store

Job Fair to be Held Saturday, May 15 to Fill 25 Open Retail and Support Positions

 FORT WORTH, TEXAS (May 13, 2021) – Goodwill North Central Texas announced today that the organization will open its 27th area retail store in summer 2021. The 13,881 sq. ft. retail store is located on 1.5 acres at 3200 Basswood Blvd. near the intersection with I-35W in north Fort Worth.

To support the store opening, Goodwill is hiring for 25 full-time and part-time positions starting at $11.25 per hour or more. A job fair will be held on Saturday, May 15 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the new store location. Employees enjoy discounts on merchandise, a generous benefit plan and receive support services and continuing education opportunities through the nonprofit. New hires are eligible for a $100 sign on bonus, which will be paid after completion of four months as a successful, active employee. To apply in person, applicants should come prepared with a state-issued photo ID. “Every retail store that Goodwill opens means more revenue to support our job training and placement programs for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment including veterans, at-risk youth, the homeless, the formerly incarcerated and the disadvantaged,” said David Cox, president and CEO of Goodwill North Central Texas. “The organization also assists job seekers from the general public in obtaining employment through area Job Resource Centers.”

Construction on the location began in August 2020 by Reliable Commercial Construction.
